Stripers Stifled by Small in 10-0 Loss to Sounds

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Gwinnett Stripers (5-6) mustered just two hits and fell 10-0 to the Nashville Sounds (7-4) on Saturday night at Coolray Field. Nashville starter Ethan Small struck out seven over 6.0 one-hit innings for the win.

Decisive Play: Sounds' first baseman Tyler White led off the second inning with a solo home run (2) off Stripers' starter Tucker Davidson (L, 0-1) to put Nashville up 1-0. Weston Wilson added a two-run homer (1) in the third to make it 3-0, and David Dahl's three-run blast (2) off of R.J. Alaniz in the fifth broke the game open at 6-0.

Key Contributors: Preston Tucker doubled with two outs in the fifth to end Small's no-hit bid. William Contreras went 1-for-3 with a single. Phil Gosselin reached base twice on walks.

Noteworthy: Gosselin has now reached base safely in all nine of his appearances this season, batting .281 (9-for-40) with a .425 on-base percentage.
