The South Carolina Stingrays squared off against the Kalamazoo Wings and Cincinnati Cyclones during a three-game road trip this week for a record of 1-2-0-0. The Rays and Wings wrapped up their season series on Wednesday at Wings Stadium with the Stingrays taking a 4-3 victory in the shootout. Defenseman Derek Keller scored the game-winning goal in the bottom of the eighth round of the shootout. The Cyclones snapped the Stingrays' seven-game road winning streak Friday night with a 4-3 win at U.S. Bank Arena. Stingrays forward Trent Campbell recorded two goals and defensemen Brett Flemming (2a) and Johann Kroll (1g, 1a) each had two points. The two teams battled again Saturday evening, with the Cyclones prevailing 3-2.

Forward Trent Campbell is tied for first in the ECHL with three shorthanded assists.

Goaltender Philipp Grubauer ranks third in the ECHL with a 2.24 goals-against average and fifth with 17 wins.

Netminder Daren Machesney is sixth in the league with a 2.31 goals-against average and tied for fifth with a .920 save percentage.

Defenseman Johann Kroll is 14 among ECHL defensemen with 22 points (6g, 16a), second in the ECHL and first among defensemen with a +19 rating and tied for second among defensemen with two shorthanded points (1g, 1a).

Defenseman Zach Tarkir is tied for first among ECHL defensemen with three game-winning goals.
