Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

THIS PAST WEEK:

About Saturday Night vs. South Carolina: Mathieu Aubin's third period goal proved to be the game winner as the Cyclones picked up a 3-2 win over the Stingrays in front of 5,952 at U.S. Bank Arena. The victory sealed a perfect 3-0 week for Cincinnati and pulled them within three-points of second place in the North Division standings.

About Friday Night vs. South Carolina: Brad Fogal made 30 saves while Dan Eves' third period goal proved to be the game-winner as the Cyclones defeated the Stingrays by a 4-3 final score in front of 3,837 at U.S. Bank Arena. Jonathan Hazen, Rob Slaney, and Mike Pelech all had multi-point games in the victory.

About Wednesday Night vs. Toledo: Rookie Matt Sisca's second goal of the night came in overtime and capped off a six-goal comeback for the Cyclones, as they rallied to defeat the Walleye by a 7-6 final score in front of 2,892 at U.S. Bank Arena. It was the first time in team history that the Cyclones came back from a three-goal deficit to win a regular season game.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT:

Goin' Streaking: Fresh off of a perfect 3-0 week, the Cyclones will play four games in five nights beginning Wednesday at U.S. Bank Arena. Three of those four contests will be against the Toledo Walleye with one final meeting against Trenton mixed in. On Wednesday, the Walleye will make their first return to U.S. Bank Arena since last week's historical Cyclones comeback victory. Then, after an off-day Thursday, Cincy will face the Titans for the final time in 2011-12 followed by a two-game weekend road trip to Huntington Center in Downtown Toledo.

Another Cyclones Reaches "The Show": Cyclones goaltender Brian Foster became the ninth Cyclone (second this year) to make his NHL debut. On Saturday night, Foster made one save on one shot in 4:53 of ice time for the Florida Panthers in a 5-3 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning. His debut also fell on his 25th birthday (February 4). Prior to the call-up, the Panthers fifth-round draft pick has earned a 8-1-0-1 record with a 2.47 goals-against average.

Making His Mark: Rookie center Matt Sisca is coming off one of his best weeks as a professional. He has registered at least a point in each of his last four games, and now leads the Cyclones with 41 points in 47 games. Since coming to the Queen City, he has etched his name on the scoresheet in all but three games. He ranks 11th in the ECHL in overall scoring and third among all first-year players.
