
Stingrays Game Preview: Stingrays Close Four-Game in Five-Night Midwest Stretch Tonight vs. Evansvil

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays close the Midwest swing of a season-long seven-game road trip and complete a four-game in five-night stretch tonight against the Evansville IceMen at 6:00 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana. Tonight is the second of three meetings between to the two teams this season.
Winning Streak Comes to a Close:
The Stingrays fell to the Indy Fuel 3-2 last night in Indianapolis, IN, ending the team's record-setting 23-game winning streak and 13-game road winning streak. The stretch stands as the second longest winning streak in North American professional hockey.
Records Recap:
The Stingrays set the ECHL record for the longest winning streak (23), longest road winning streak (13), longest ECHL shutout streak and second longest modern day pro hockey shutout streak (Jeff Jakaitis, 321:46), most consecutive wins by a goaltender in a single season (15) and tied the league record with the most consecutive wins without a regulation loss (23).
Series Breakdown:
The Stingrays are 1-0-0-0 against the IceMen this season, picking up a 3-2 win at the North Charleston Coliseum on February 15. All-time, the Stingrays stand 4-2-1-0 against the IceMen.
Leading by Example:
Team captain Andrew Rowe is riding a 10-game point streak with four goals and 13 assists for 17 points. Rowe scored his 100th professional goal last night against the Indy Fuel.

The Stingrays wrap up a season-long seven game road trip this week with two tilts against the Orlando Solar Bears on Thursday, April 2 and Friday April 3 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida and the Florida Everblades on Saturday, April 4 at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida.
The Stingrays close the regular-season schedule on Saturday, April 11 against the Evansville IceMen at 7:05 at the North Charleston Coliseum on Fan Appreciation Night and The Post and Courier Hall of Fame Night. The first 1,000 fans receive a 2014-15 Stingrays team photo courtesy of Sheila Lauffer of Data Imaging and a new member of the Stingrays Hall of Fame will be inducted during the first intermission.
