ECHL Announces Fines, Suspensions

PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL on Sunday announced the following fines and suspensions.

Wheeling's McGrath fined, suspended

Wheeling's Patrick McGrath has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #690, Reading at Wheeling, on March 28.

McGrath is suspended one game under Rule #46.22 for receiving an aggressor penalty in the final five minutes of the game and he is suspended one game under Rule #23.7 for receiving his third game misconduct of the season in the fighting category.

McGrath will miss Wheeling's games against Cincinnati today (March 29) and at Elmira (April 1).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Cincinnati's Pacan fined, suspended

Cincinnati's David Pacan has been suspended pending a review and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #685, Fort Wayne at Cincinnati, on March 28.

Pacan is fined and suspended under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 15:59 of the third period.

Pacan will miss Cincinnati's game at Wheeling today (March 29) and any further discipline will be announced later this week.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Colorado's Zahn fined

Colorado's Teigan Zahn has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #692, Kalamazoo at Colorado, on March 28.

Zahn was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging the goaltender under Rule #42.5 at 4:19 of the first period. He is fined under Rule #28 - Supplementary Discipline.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.

Allen's Clarke fined

Allen's Garrett Clarke has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #985, Tulsa at Allen, on March 28.

Clarke is fined under Rule #64.2 as a result of his second diving penalty of the season at 9:41 of the third period.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players' Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player's Hardship Fund.
