Hunt Becomes the Thunder All-Time Points

Stockton Thunder vs. Alaska Aces

Stockton, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder get an early goal from their captain and score on two of their three power-play attempts, but cannot put Alaska away in regulation or the overtime period, and eventually fall in the shootout to the Aces with the final score 5-4. However, history was made as Stockton Thunder captain Garet Hunt buried a rebound just 22 seconds into the game, which broke Mike Lalonde's all-time Thunder points record with Hunt's 157th career point in a Thunder sweater. The Thunder fed off Hunt's early goal and played a solid game for 65 minutes, but could not finish off the Aces in the shootout as Alaska won the skills competition 2-0. The Thunder and the Aces will faceoff for the final time Sunday at Stockton Arena as newly minted Thunder all-time leading scorer Garet Hunt leads his squad for one last game against Alaska.
