St. John's Maple Leafs Golf Tournament a Great Success

On Tuesday the St. John's Maple Leafs held their 11th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Clovelly Golf Course.

This year's event saw over 175 participants help raise over $26,000 for Leafs Foundation Charities. The annual golf tournament is the club's first community event allowing their corporate partners and fans to meet the 2004-05 edition of St. John's Maple Leafs.

Since 1991, the Leafs Foundation and the Booster Club have contributed over $1.3 million to more than 138 local charities in support of community services throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.

The St. John's Maple Leafs kick-off the 2004-05 season on the road against the Syracuse Crunch October 15th, live on Radio Newfoundland at 9:00PM (930AM). The Maple Leafs' home opener is October 21st when they face the same Syracuse Crunch.
