AHL unveils navigation bar on AHL Internet Network
Published on October 13, 2004 under American Hockey League (AHL) News Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today unveiled a new navigation bar that links all 28 team Web sites together, further strengthening the AHL Internet Network.
The bar appears at the top of the official Web sites of all 28 American Hockey League teams, and includes drop-down menus to view AHL scores, statistics, standings, television schedules and ticket information, as well as information on the AHL All-Star Classic and the Calder Cup Playoffs.
The bar also features links to all 28 AHL teams, allowing visitors to navigate easily throughout the AHL Internet Network.
During the 2003-04 season, the American Hockey League experienced nearly 20 million page views on the league's official Web site, theahl.com, an increase of 64 percent over the previous year. The AHL Internet Network, including the league's site and all 28 team sites, had 59 million page views, up 34 percent from 2002-03.
The American Hockey League continues its tradition of excellence when its 69th season begins tonight, once again serving as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League clubs. More than 100 alumni recently competed in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey tournament, and over 80 percent of all players to compete in the NHL in 2003-04 were AHL graduates, with more than 400 players taking the ice in both leagues.
