Crunch Trims Roster By Two

Syracuse, NY (October 13, 2004) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have assigned left wing Tyler Sloan to Dayton (ECHL) and defenseman Evgueni Nourislamov to San Diego (ECHL).

Sloan, 23, appeared in three games with Syracuse during the preseason, recording one goal and nine penalty minutes. In 69 games with Syracuse last season, Sloan recorded 2 goals, 4 assists and 50 penalty minutes. In 110 career AHL games, all with Syracuse, Sloan has tallied 4 goals, 5 assists and 101 penalty minutes. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Sloan was signed as a free agent by Columbus on September 24, 2000.

Nourislamov, 22, appeared in two preseason games with the Crunch. In 32 games with San Diego last season, Nourislamov recorded 1 goal, 9 assists and 28 penalty minutes. A native of Rogliatti, Russia, Nourislamov appeared in 152 career games with Drummondville (Quebec Major Junior Hockey League), tallying 17 goals, 49 assists and 181 penalty minutes.

The Crunch's regular season home schedule begins on Friday, October 15, when the St. John's Maple Leafs visit the War Memorial at Oncenter for the Express Mart Opening Night. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a hand-clapper noisemaker, compliments of Express Mart.
