
St. Denis Recalled by Columbus

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced Friday that defenseman Frederic St. Denis has been recalled by the Columbus Blue Jackets, the team's NHL affiliate.
St. Denis, 28, has appeared in 51 games with the Falcons this season, totaling 24 points (nine goals, 15 assists), 28 penalty minutes and a team-best +14 rating. The Greenfield Park, Quebec participated in his second AHL All-Star Game this season and registered a game-high +3 rating in the contest versus the Swedish Hockey League's Farjestad BK.
A member of the Montreal Candiens organization for the first five pro seasons, St. Denis signed a two-way (NHL/AHL) contract with the Blue Jackets July 7. This is his first recall to the NHL this season.
St. Denis has appeared in 17 career NHL games, all with the Montreal Canadiens in 2011-12. The 5-foot-11, 192-pound defenseman amassed three points (one goal, two assists), 10 penalty minutes and a +3 rating.
The Falcons continue their current four-game road trip with three games away from the MassMutual Center this weekend. The team visits the Hartford Wolf Pack Friday, March 7 at 7:00 p.m., the Adirondack Phantoms Saturday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m. and the Portland Pirates Sunday, March 9 at 4:00 p.m.
Fans are invited to the MassMutual Center in 2013-14 to watch the reigning Northeast Division-champion Falcons compete in their 20th anniversary season.
