
Kyle Bushee Signs PTO with Comets

Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher has announced that the club has signed defenseman Kyle Bushee to a professional tryout contract (PTO).
Bushee, 28, has played 52 games for the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL. He leads all Elmira defenseman in goals (6), assists (17) and points (23). His plus-6 rating is also tops on the team. The 6'1â=80", 195-pound defenseman has appeared in 17 AHL games over his career between Binghamton, Norfolk, St. John's, Manitoba and Portland.
The native of Otsego, MI is coming off of his most productive year as a pro in 2012-13. The veteran potted 32 points (9 goals, 23 assists) over 63 games in his first season with the Jackals. Bushee was Elmira's top scoring defenseman in the playoffs with four points (1 goal, 3 assists) over six games.
