Spokane Chiefs Partner with Local Gonzaga Alumni Chapter for GU Night

Spokane, Wash - The Spokane Chiefs are partnering with the Gonzaga University Spokane Alumni Chapter to host a very special Gonzaga Night at the Spokane Chiefs game versus U.S. Division rival Everett Silvertips on January 19th. The Chiefs are offering a limited edition co-branded Gonzaga/Chiefs beanie and a ticket to the game, starting at just $40. $5 from every purchase will benefit the Spokane Chapter Regional Scholarship. Season ticket holders or other fans who already have tickets to the game on the 19th are able to purchase the special beanie all by itself for $30.

Puck Drop is set for 7:05 PM with doors open at 6 PM. Gonzaga Alumni will have a Meet and Greet in the Integra Rooms with early access to the arena beginning at 5:30 PM.

"The Spokane Chiefs are very excited to partner with all of the local colleges and universities in the area, including the Gonzaga Bulldogs," Chiefs Director of Marketing, Alex Costanzo, said. "We have several GU alumni in our front office who are all proud to be part of the Zag family. We hope to continue to build this partnership and relationship with the local Spokane Alumni Chapter as well as the University at large for years to come. Plus, the beanie is incredibly comfortable!"

Mike Kelsey, President of the Gonzaga Spokane Alumni Chapter, has been instrumental in bringing this event to life, "There's such a proud history at both the Spokane Chiefs organization, as well as with Gonzaga University in our city. The Zags, of course, are famous for selling-out men's and women's basketball crowds inside The Kennel and at our respective athletic facilities for major games. Some may not realize that the Chiefs are no different, by leading the WHL in attendance themselves with nearly 5,500 fans per game. With so much enthusiasm around both entities, our Gonzaga-Spokane Chapter is very excited for our partnership with the Chiefs. It's been a great experience to plan and initiate a new tradition of uniting the passionate fans of both communities under one roof on January 19th."

January 19 will be an exciting night for Chiefs fans as it is also Pride Night, Fred Meyer Calendar Giveaway Night, and the first home game for three weeks following the team's annual road swing, in addition to the Gonzaga-related festivities.
