Eastyn Mannix notched his first career WHL point with a second period assist and Oil Kings affiliate netminder Hudson Perry made his WHL debut coming into the game in relief in the second period stopping 24 of the 27 shots he faced while also registering an assist.

The Oil Kings power play stayed hot going 1-for-2 in the game and now have a power play goal in 11 of their last 12 games. The penalty kill meanwhile gave up one goal on five Hitmen power plays. The Oil Kings have now killed 20 of their last 22 times shorthanded.
