Everett Silvertips News Release

EDMONTON, Albe. - The Everett Silvertips fell just short in front of 17,226 fans at Rogers Place as the Edmonton Oil Kings picked up a 5-3 win on their Teddy Bear Toss night.

Teague Patton opened the scoring for the Silvertips 10:28 into the first period, capitalizing on an Austin Roest feed in front of the net for his 10th goal of the season. Landon Hanson scored Edmonton's Teddy Bear Toss goal at 12:46, slipping a back-door feed through Ethan Chadwick for his second of the year.

Sherwood Park, AB native and former Oilers season-ticket holder Ben Hemmerling restored the Silvertips' lead at 18:48, rifling a one-timer home for his eighth goal of the campaign.

Marshall Finnie once more brought the Oil Kings back to even with a rebound goal at 2:28, snapping a nine-game goalless drought. A Dominik Rymon forced turnover and a Hemmerling between-the-legs feed helped set up Julius Miettinen for his eight tally of the year at 16:18, sending Everett into the second intermission with a 3-2 lead. The assist is Hemmerling's 100th career helper.

Ty Nash equalized with a powerplay goal at 8:32 in the third period. With the Silvertips shorthanded after a late Kaden Hammell interference penalty, Marc Lajoie bested Chadwick for his ninth goal of the year at 18:54. Roan Woodward iced the game with an empty netter at 19:36.

Kolby Hay stopped 36 of 39 in the win. Ethan Chadwick saved 20 of 24.
