Sound Tigers Sign Riley Gill to PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Feb. 5, 2011) ‚¬" The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced Saturday that they have signed goaltender Riley Gill to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

Gill, 25, joins the Sound Tigers following a stint with ECHL affiliate Kalamazoo for most of the season. The Northfield, MN native signs with the Sound Tigers following the Islanders recall of Mikko Koskinen. Gill has amassed a 5-6-0 record with Kalamazoo this season with a 3.82 save percentage and a .887 goals against average. The 6-1, 215-pound netminder made his AHL debut earlier this season with Worcester and played collegiately at Western Michigan University before making his pro debut with Kalamazoo last season.
