Abbotsford Heat News Release

Chicago ILL - The Abbotsford Heat swept into the Windy City on Friday night and swept out with a 4-3 shootout win over the Chicago Wolves in AHL action.

The Heat would have to battle back from two deficits in this game. In the first period, Andrew Bozek converted a Freddy Pettersson drop pass and rifled a blast past Heat goaltender Leland Irving, off the post and in to open the scoring for the Wolves 1-0.

It would remain 1-0 into the second until the Heat capitalized on a Wolves turnover high in the Wolves end. Quintin Laing was able to corral a loose puck and slip it back to Greg Nemisz. Nemisz's shot would be deflected in by Jon Rheault to tie the game 1-1 after two periods of play.
