Sound Tigers Sign Fast to PTO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Jan. 11, 2013) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today they have signed defenseman T.J. Fast to a professional tryout contract (PTO).

Fast, 25, appeared in 42 games with the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs last season, totaling five points (one goal, four assists) and 34 penalty minutes.

The Calgary, AB native has appeared in 120 AHL games over four professional seasons, in addition to 113 games in the ECHL. Fast was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round pick (60th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

Prior to turning pro, the 6'0, 185-pound blue-liner spent two seasons at the University of Denver before playing parts of two seasons with the Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League.
