Veilleux Assigned to Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - It was announced today that the Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forward Keven Veilleux from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).

Veilleux, 23, has registered two goals and an assist for Wheeling over four games this season. He has also made four appearances with the Penguins, recording seven penalty minutes

Veilleux, a second-round draft pick (51st overall) of Pittsburgh in 2007, totaled 12 goals, 24 assists and 122 penalty minutes over 66 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in 2010-11. He missed the 2011-12 season due to injury.
