
Rampage Aim High against U.S. Air Force in Obstacle Course Challenge

SAN ANTONIO (January 11, 2013) - The full Rampage team will train alongside the Airmen from the 37th Training Wing and Joint base San Antonio-Lackland for an obstacle course challenge at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15. The obstacle course will feature several challenging elements, including a rope swing, log roll, wall scaling, tower climb, monkey bars over water and many others.
The Rampage will begin the morning at 8 a.m. with a basic military training (BMT) mission briefing. The team will then travel to the obstacle course and compete against Combat Airmen in several challenging physical activities. The Rampage will tour the BMT dorms and will have lunch alongside trainees to round out the afternoon.
The competition can be followed on Twitter by searching the hashtag #RampagevsBMT. Rampage players and staff will be encouraged to Tweet about their experiences throughout the day and on the obstacle course.
The Rampage are strong supporters of the military and will host their 10th annual Military Appreciation Night on March 2, 2013. The team will wear military themed jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game to benefit the Rampage Sled Hockey Team, which is the only sled hockey team in the world that is comprised of soldiers who have been injured while serving our country and are receiving therapy and rehabilitation at San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC) and the Center for the Intrepid. The Rampage have raised more than $160,000 to benefit the sled hockey team and various other military charities.
The Rampage square off against the Lake Erie Monsters tonight at 7:30 p.m. at AT&T Center on a KZEP Dollar Drink Night.
