Rockford IceHogs News Release

Rockford, Ill. - Seeking to bust out of a season-high point slump, the Rockford IceHogs (17-17-1-1) will take on the Grand Rapids Griffins (21-10-1-2) again tonight as the IceHogs welcome their two millionth fan at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

The puck drops at 7:05 p.m. while the two millionth fan will be honored during the second period with the Ultimate IceHogs Fan Package, including a pair of season tickets for the rest of the 2012-13 season, and the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons as well.

For those hoping to become the lucky two millionth fan, tickets can be purchased by calling (815) 968-5222, online through IceHogs.com, at any Ticketmaster outlet or by visiting the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.

Tonight's contest can also be viewed on 23.2 Antenna TV, Comcast Cable channel 436, Charter-970, Mediacom-101 or online through AHLlive.com.

The IceHogs are currently on a season-high four-game losing streak after dropping a 6-3 contest to the Griffins on Wednesday. Rockford has also dropped four straight to Grand Rapids dating back to Nov. 9 at the Van Andel Arena.

Despite falling to their Midwest Division foes on Wednesday, IceHogs captain Martin St. Pierre registered his team-leading tenth multi-point game of the season by dishing out a pair of assists. With the two helpers, the Embrun, Ontario native moved within two points of 600 career professional points.

The Hogs hold a 1-4-0-0 record thus far on the campaign against the division leading Griffins, after capturing a 6-5 overtime victory in the first meeting of the season back on Oct. 27.

Next Home Game: Friday, Jan. 18 vs. Peoria Rivermen. Beginning at 7:05 p.m. the IceHogs and Rivermen meet in a Illinois Lottery Cup Matchup and for the first time since Nov. 21 at the BMO Harris Bank Center. It marks the fourth of twelve meetings between the two foes on the campaign.
