Sound Tigers Announce Roster Moves

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Dec. 28, 2013) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced forward Philip-Michael Devos has signed a professional tryout contract (PTO). Additionally, forward Sean Wiles has been released from his PTO and will return to the Reading Royals (ECHL).

Devos, 23, comes to the Sound Tigers from the Elmira Jackals (ECHL) but had previously signed a PTO this season with the Syracuse Crunch. In nine games with the Crunch, he collected two points (one goal, one assist). He had nine points (one goal, eight assist) in 15 games with the Jackals this season, as well. Last season, Devos scored 26 points (seven goals, 19 assists) in 70 games with Syracuse. He split his rookie pro season in 2011-12 between Norfolk (AHL) and Florida (ECHL) after spending five junior hockey seasons in the QMJHL.

Wiles, 26, signed his PTO with the Sound Tigers Nov. 13 and scored one goal in 11 games. This was the second stint with the Sound Tigers for Wiles, who had three points in three games for the team last season. Wiles will head back to the Reading Royals, where he had four points (three goals, one assist) in nine games this season.

The Sound Tigers are in Springfield to play the Falcons Saturday night before returning home for a 3 p.m. game against the Albany Devils.
