Hogs Loan Mullane and Shalunov to Toledo

Rockford, Ill. - The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced on Saturday that they have loaned forwards Pat Mullane and Maxim Shalunov to the ECHL's Toledo Walleye.

Mullane, 23, has registered five assists in 24 contests for the IceHogs this season. In two games with the Walleye, Mullane has recorded two points (1g-1a), including his first career professional goal on Dec. 20.

The rookie forward is playing in his first pro campaign after spending four years at Boston College. The Wallingford, Conn., native posted 42 goals and 98 assists over his four year career with the Eagles.

Shalunov, 20, shows four assists in 18 games for Rockford this season and one goal in two contests with Toledo.

The Chelyabinsk, Russia native spent the majority of the 2012-13 season with Chelmet Chelyabinsk in the VHL, recording nine points (2g-7a) in 19 games.

Shalunov was drafted by the Blackhawks in the fourth round (#109 overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

Next Home Game: Monday, Dec. 30 vs. Charlotte Checkers at 7 p.m. The Hogs host Charlotte for the seventh meeting of the season. The first 1,000 kids (14 and under) to the game will receive an IceHogs youth jersey courtesy of Rockford Orthopedic.
