Minnesota Assigns Gustafsson to Iowa

Des Moines, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Saturday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned goaltender Johan Gustafsson to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL) and placed forward Zach Parise on Injured Reserve.

Gustafsson, 21 (2/28/92), was recalled by Minnesota on Dec. 18 and did not appear in a game. He is 4-4-0 with a 2.95 GAA, a .898 SV% and one shutout in nine games with Iowa this season.

Parise, 29 (7/28/94), has collected 27 points (15-1227) in 37 games with the Wild this season. He ranks fourth in the NHL with eight power-play goals, fifth in shots (144) and tied for 18th in goals. Parise has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury.

Iowa concludes a six-game homestand with Milwaukee on Sunday, Dec. 29 at 4:05 p.m. Fans may purchase the Subway Family Four Pack, which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas, and four Subway coupons starting at $44.
