Sosa Returns to Dragons; Day to Sarasota

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster moves today:

Utility player Kyle Day has been promoted to Sarasota of the Florida State League.

First baseman/catcher Humberto Sosa has been promoted to Dayton from Billings of the Pioneer League.

Day played in 67 games with the Dragons, batting .258 with four home runs and 26 runs batted in. He appeared in 28 games as the designated hitter; 21 games in left field; 11 at catcher; seven at first base; and three as a pinch hitter.

Sosa, who began this season with the Dragons, played in 21 games at Billings and was sixth in the Pioneer League in batting at .359. He also had two home runs, 13 runs batted in, and he was tied for second in the league in doubles with nine. With the Dragons in 2009, Sosa has played in 42 games, batting .241 with one home run and 18 RBI.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.
