Fort Wayne, IN - The Fort Wayne TinCaps finished their six-game homestand with a flourish Monday at Parkview Field. In the completion of a suspended game, they outlasted the Quad Cities River Bandits, 4-1. In the seven-inning nightcap, Fort Wayne blanked the River Bandits, 1-0. RHP Brad Brach saved both games, running his league-leading saves total to 24.

Game 1 was the continuation of Sunday night's game, which was suspended by rain. The game picked up in the top of the 5th inning with one out and a runner at second base, the TinCaps leading 3-1. RHP Eduardo Perez struck out the first two batters he faced and kept on rolling, delivering 3.2 scoreless innings.

In the bottom of the 7th, Blake Tekotte lined a two-out RBI single to left to plate Daniel Robertson and make it 4-1.

Brach worked a scoreless 9th inning to pick up the save.

Game 1 featured a Parkview Field record crowd of 8,353.

In the nightcap, the TinCaps jumped ahead in the bottom of the 1st. Robertson ripped a one-out double and later scored on Allan Dykstra's two-out RBI single to right.

From there, RHP Erik Davis took control. He endured a line drive off his knee in the 2nd inning and proceeded to face just two over the minimum from that point on. In total, he worked five shutout innings, allowed three hits and a walk while striking out five.

RHP Nick Schumacher fired a scoreless 6th inning and Brach delivered a perfect 7th to grab his second save of the day.
