
Snappers Offense Sputters against Cougars

Snappers starting pitcher Michael Tonkin picked up his first loss in his Midwest League debut as the Kane County Cougars defeated the Snappers 5-1 Tuesday night at Pohlman Field.
Tonkin (0-1) went four innings and struck out four batters while giving up three earned runs in the contest.
The Cougars put up a pair of runs in the second inning to put the first marks on the scoreboard and single runs in the third, fifth, and seventh.
The Snappers did push one run across when Steven Liddle grounded out to short as Aaron Hicks scored from third.
The Snappers will send Miguel Munoz to the mound Wednesday night for the rubber game of the three-game set with first pitch scheduled for 6:30PM.
