Schools are closed on Monday. Why not get the kids out of the house and down to the Ice Rink at Coal Street
We'll be hosting a special public skating session from 12:30-2:30pm, with everyone's favorite flightless bird - TUX - taking part from 12:30-1:30pm.
Admission for this session is just $6, with skate rentals available for $3. Our snack bar will be open as well, just in case you don't feel like preparing lunch!
Come on down and check out the coolest place in town. The Ice Rink at Coal Street is located at 40 Coal Street in Wilkes-Barre. Log on to www.coalstreeticerink.com for more info.
TICKETS GOING FAST FOR JANUARY 22
January 22 will be a FANTASTIC evening at the Mohegan Sun Arena, as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins take on the Albany Devils at 7:05pm.
Fewer than 400 seats remain for this game as of 4:00pm on Friday, January 14. The first 5,000 fans in the arena will each receive a Penguins game-worn jersey card, courtesy of Dodge.
Prior to the contest, all fans with tickets to the Penguins game are invited to take part in our FAITH AND FAMILY NIGHT FESTIVITIES. Local Christian bands will perform at the arena beginning at 2:00pm.
Fans with web enabled smart phones, scan the code to the right with a QR reader for a special offer for the game.
Great seats for this and all Penguins home games remain, and tickets may be purchased at the Mohegan Sun Arena box office, through any Ticketmaster outlet, online at ticketmaster.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
PENS AND PINS BOWLING JERSEY AUCTION
If you are one of the 8,000 or so fans in attendance at Saturday's game, you'll also have the opportunity to get your hands on some very special pieces of player memorabilia.
We'll be holding our Pens and Pins Bowling Jersey Auction, benefitting Allied Services and John Heinz Rehab. Fans can place silent bids on the bowling jerseys worn by their favorite Penguins players at the team's recent charity tourney.
Each jersey has the Pens and Pins logo on the back, and the player's name stitched above the pocket on the left front.
Bidding will take place behind section 108, with opening bids starting at just $60!
