July 12, 2006 - Midwest League (MWL1)
South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
Dragons Dare Silver Hawks
The Dayton Dragons will arrive in South Bend, eager to take on the Silver Hawks, in hopes of knocking them out of their first-place tie with the West Michigan Whitecaps. Fear not fans, the Silver Hawks have shown many strong performances lately and are in fact, on a five-game winning streak! Let's go Hawks!
The Dragons, who are currently in third place, are looking to end their 2 game losing streak with a win over the Hawks. Good Luck!
Wheelin' and Dealin' Wednesdays
Let's be honest, everyone likes to get something, anything for free. Well in this case, thanks to Pepsi Wednesdays at the Cove, you can find your tickets at a BOGO (Buy One Get One free) price! So why not bring some extra friends or family members out to a game without taking a hit at your wallet.
If BOGO doesn't satisfy you, why not take advantage of the South Bend Tribune's 5 for $5 deal. No, we are not talking about roast beef sandwiches here, just baseball. But this season, for only $5, finds you with a reserved seat ticket, hot dog, snack, Pepsi and game program! A reserve seat ticket alone is normally $5...you do the math.
Turning triple the deals
One of the most amazing things in baseball is to see a team turn a triple play. And even more amazing than that, are the great deals to look forward too, should the Silver Hawks turn a triple play during Thursday's game vs. Dayton.
Reserved seat tickets to Thursday's game are just $3 as are ice cold Michelob Ultra's! And if that triple play becomes a reality in the 3rd, 6th or 9th inning, some lucky fans will have the chance at winning THREE YEARS worth of season tickets! Triple Play Thursdays are officially sponsored by 103.9 The Bear and WB 25.
Lighting Up Friday Nights
Allegiant Air is proud to present post-game Friday Night Fireworks at the Cove. Fans are encouraged to remain in their seats following every Friday night home game to enjoy the spectacular lights show. If you missed them over the Fourth holiday or enjoyed them so much you would like to see more, then come on out to the ballpark, enough some quality baseball and stay for the amazing light show that has been lighting up South Bend on Friday Nights all season long!
