Delmarva Shorebirds News Release
CHARLESTON, W. Va. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds went back-and-forth with the West Virginia Power on Tuesday evening, but a four-run seventh inning lifted West Virginia to victory. Cam Kneeland starred for Delmarva, kicking off the night with a two-out RBI double in the first inning for a 1-0 lead. Michael Suchy responded for West Virginia with a two-run double in the home half of the first. The Power added to their advantage with two runs in the second, building a 4-1 lead.

The Power had an answer, retaking the lead on an fielder's choice with the bases loaded. Rifaela prevented more damage with an outfield assist, throwing out Taylor Gushue at home on a flyball to left.
Kneeland struck again in the seventh for a go-ahead two-run home run. The Shorebirds' second baseman finished the night 3-for-5 with three RBIs and his fourth home run of the season.
Delmarva's lead did not last long, as West Virginia quickly loaded the bases after the seventh inning stretch. Tyler Filliben knotted the game with an RBI single, and Chase Simpson push the Power in front with a sacrifice fly. In total, West Virginia scored four runs in the seventh to turn the tables again. Suchy hit a solo home run in the eighth for the 10-6 final score.
Julio Vivas took the win for West Virginia, despite giving up the go-ahead home run in the seventh. Nigel Nootbaar took the loss for Delmarva, while Williams Louico made his season debut with the Shorebirds.
