Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
Isotopes 11 (5-11), Dodgers 10 (4-12), - Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park
AT THE DISH: Catcher Brian Serven hit a solo homer to cap Albuquerque's six-run seventh inning, then led off the ninth with a walk-off home run to left field to give the Isotopes an 11-10 victory ... Other key hits in the seventh included RBI singles by Scott Burcham and Sam Hilliard as well as a two-run single off the right field wall by Greg Bird ... Wynton Bernard doubled home two runs in the eighth to cut the deficit to 10-9 ... Nick Longhi brought home Bernard with a base hit to tie it at 10 ... Hilliard, Longhi, Serven, Burcham and Eric Stamets all finished with two hits.
TOEING THE RUBBER: Topes starting pitcher José Mujica gave up six runs in four innings including three home runs, one by Cody Bellinger ... Ian Clarkin surrendered four runs in three frames of relief ... Zac Rosscup and winning pitcher Justin Lawrence each delivered a perfect inning out of the bullpen to set the stage for the offensive heroics.
TOPES TIDBITS: The Isotopes completed the second-biggest comeback in franchise history, as they trailed by nine runs (10-1) entering the bottom of the seventh inning ... the previous second-biggest was eight runs, set three times including in a 2012 elimination playoff game vs. Omaha and a 2019 game at Tacoma where Albuquerque scored 17 runs in the final three innings ... Serven hit the first walk-off home run for the Topes since Dom Nuñez did so against Round Rock on Aug. 11, 2019 ... Albuquerque has clinched at least a split of this series and will have two chances to win their first set since taking three of four from Las Vegas in late August 2019.
ON DECK: The fifth game of this series will be played Monday evening at RGCU Field at Isotopes Park, with first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM Mountain Time. Right-hander Dereck Rodríguez (0-0, 27.00) will get the baseball for Warren Schaeffer's squad, while the Oklahoma City Dodgers are scheduled to start right-hander Austin Bibens-Dirkx (1-0, 6.00).
