Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
Isotopes 7 (4-11), Dodgers 6 (4-11), - Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park
AT THE DISH: Wynton Bernard led the way with a 3-for-6 effort including a leadoff home run in the first inning ... Bernard was a triple shy of the cycle ... Greg Bird hit a solo homer and walked three times, scoring a team season-high three runs in the process ... Danny Edgeworth finished 2-for-4 with three RBI, including a two-run double in the first inning ... The go-ahead run crossed the plate for Albuquerque in the eighth when Chris Rabago drew a bases-loaded walk.
TOEING THE RUBBER: Ryan Rolison got off to a hot start on the mound in his Triple-A debut as he struck out the side in the first inning, but Oklahoma City plated five runs in the second and he was chased after 1.2 IP ... The Isotopes bullpen ended the night with six scoreless innings, as Logan Cozart, Joe Harvey, Antonio Santos, Chad Smith and Justin Lawrence all kept the Dodgers off the scoreboard.
TOPES TIDBITS: Saturday's scheduled fireworks show will be postponed to a later date. Los Angeles Dodgers rehabbing star outfielder Cody Bellinger did not play in Saturday's contest, while Zach McKinstry went 0-for-2 after entering in the sixth as he continued his own rehab assignment ... Albuquerque set several season-highs in this game, including walks drawn (11), runners left on base (15), strikeouts for the pitching staff (12), and players used (18).
ON DECK: Albuquerque and Oklahoma City play a matinee in game four of their six-game set on Sunday afternoon from the Duke City, with first pitch slated for 1:35 PM. Los Angeles Dodgers right-handed pitcher Tony Gonsolin is tentatively scheduled to make a rehab start for OKC, with Bellinger also scheduled to play. Albuquerque will counter with right-hander José Mujica (0-2, 17.05). Collapsible Dog Bowls will be given to the first 2,500 fans in attendance, presented by LoPour & Associates DDS.
