West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats (7-9) scored first and tacked on a couple runs in the ninth but fell on Sunday afternoon to the first-place Reno Aces (12-4).

Infielder Mitchell Tolman homered for the second straight game, going to the opposite field off right-hander Zach Lee in the fourth inning to put Sacramento on the board first. It tied him for the team lead with four alongside Thairo Estrada.

Meanwhile, starting pitcher Anthony Banda was turning his most impressive start of the young season. The left-hander struck out six and walked none in five strong innings, but the game unraveled for the River Cats when he was removed after 78 pitches. Lefty Luis Gonzalez recorded just one out while allowing four earned in the Aces' five-run sixth.

Conner Menez will toe the rubber for the River Cats in game five of this series while the Aces have yet to name a starter. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. (PT). Listen to all of the action live online at rivercats.com, on the MiLB First Pitch app.

Additional Notes

Catcher Fabian Peña received just his third start of the year and certainly made the most of it. He finished the ballgame a triple short of the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a two-run homer in ninth. And he had an eventful day behind the dish, as well. Aces outfielder Matt Lipka attempted to steal a bag three times on Peña and succeeded twice. Peña also threw out Nick Heath trying to steal third.
