
Sens Swept in Twinbill by Reading 7-1 & 1-0

Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Senators (30-19) were swept in a doubleheader Sunday evening by the Reading Fightin Phils (27-18) as Reading took game one 7-1 and game two 1-0. In game one, with the score 2-1 into the top of the seventh inning, Reading plated five runs on a pair of home runs to break the game open. In game two, Reading plated the lone run of the game in the sixth inning. The Senators managed just 1 run on 9 hits in the doubleheader.
Turning Point
In game one, the Senators were trailing 2-0 into the bottom of the 4th. Austin Davidson doubled, Tres Barrera walked, and Ian Sagdal followed with an RBI single scoring Davidson. On the play, Barrera took third and Sagdal went to second on the throw to third. With the score 2-1 and runners at second and third, the Senators would score no further in the game. Three of the next four batters struck out and the Senators left the bases loaded.
In game two, with the game scoreless Adam Haseley reached on a single that ricocheted off the glove of Adrian Sanchez into left field. Darick Hall followed with a double off the fence in left scoring Haseley from first and giving Reading a 1-0 lead.
On Capitol Hill
In game one, Ben Braymer started and pitched six solid innings, allowing a pair of runs on five hits. He retired 13 of the final 14 batters he faced. Bryan Bonnell followed Braymer and allowed five runs, two earned on three hits including a three-run home run and a two-run home run.
In game two, Steven Fuentes made the spot start and went a season-high four innings allowing three hits while striking out four. He stranded runners in scoring position in each of the first three innings. Taylor Guilbeau followed and pitched 1.2 innings and allowed the lone run on two hits. He retired the side in order in the fifth before being touched for two hits in the sixth. Joan Baez pitched the final 1.1 innings hitting one batter and striking one out.
With the Gavel
In game one, the Senators managed just five hits. Ian Sadgal had two of the five and drove in the lone Senators run. Ben Braymer had his first hit as a pro in the game. Adrian Sanchez & Austin Davidson both had doubles in the game.
In game two, the Senators had just four hits with the only extra-base hit coming off the bat of Spencer Kieboom.
Filibusters
The shutout in game two was the second time this season the Sens have been shutout.
Since scoring 9 runs in the fifth inning Friday night, the Senators have scored just two runs in three games.
It's the third time this month they've lost at least three straight games.
At this point, the Senators have one doubleheader left to play and it's Tuesday, August 27 at Hartford.

The Senators and Reading Fightin Phils play the final game of their five-game series Monday beginning at 12:00 p.m. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 11:50 a.m.
