Harrisburg Senators News Release

On Monday night at Metro Bank Park, the Senators returned home but couldn't find the win column in dropping the game to Altoona 5-0. The Curve scored three of their five runs on two out hits.

Ross Detwiler started and was outstanding for the second straight start, going five innings allowing just a run and striking out nine. In his last two starts he has struck out 16 and walked just one. But in both of those starts, the Senators have failed to score a run.

Luke Montz and Freddie Bynum both had two hits in the ballgame for the Sens while Michael Daniel, Ofilio Castro and Joel Guzman all chipped in with one. The Senators hit into three double plays which short changed innings.

On Tuesday night the two teams hook up for game two of their three-game series. LH Cory VanAllen is on the mound for the Sens against RH Mike Crotta for the Curve.
