Senators Drop a Pitchers Duel 2-0 to Somerset

The Senators dropped to 1-4 with a 2-0 loss to Somerset Saturday night. The Patriots scored single runs in the first and fourth innings and made those two runs stand up. The Senators managed just five base runners in the game, spread out in five different frames.

On Capitol Hill

Luis Reyes started and went 4.2 innings allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out two and walked two including the final batter he faced. Andrew Lee came into the game in the fifth with two on and two outs and retired Diego Castillo on a flyball to center. He pitched the sixth and seventh innings, walking three but he didn't allow a run. Jhon Romero pitched the eighth struck out two and walked one. Lee and Romero combined to toss 3.1 scoreless innings.

With the Gavel

Harrisburg had just three hits on a cool Saturday night. Aldrem Corredor followed up his three hit Friday night with a double in the seventh inning. Jackson Cluff singled in the third for his first hit this season. Drew Mendoza also singled.

Filibusters

The Senators were shut out for the second time in five games. They also had three hits, or less, for the third time in five games against Somerset. Harrisburg turned two more double plays Saturday night and Alex Dunlap caught a base runner trying to steal second base.
