'DOGS AND 'WOLVES ONE MORE TIME: The Sea Dogs and Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate) conclude their season series on Thursday night at Hadlock Field...This is a four-game series due to a rainout last Thursday at Jerry Uht Park...Portland will play 72 of 142 games at home (one at Fenway Park)...Earlier today, 20-year-old SS Xander Bogaerts was promoted to Triple-A Pawtucket...Bogaerts was leading the team in hitting at .311 (68-for-219) with 6 homers and 35 RBI.

THEY GOT BOTH: The Erie SeaWolves swept a twinbill from the Portland Sea Dogs on Wednesday night, 8-2 (8-innings) and 1-0...Game one was delayed an hour and 10 minutes after the fifth inning due to a light tower failure behind the first-base dugout...In the opener, Wade Gaynor and James Robbins had back-to-back, two-out doubles off Miguel Celestino (1-4)...In game two, the 'Wolves scored an unearned run in the first inning off losing pitcher Jeremy Kehrt (0-2) for the game's lone run...Kehrt worked six innings on three hits, one unearned run and six strikeouts.
