Curve Postponed in New Britain

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Altoona Curve and the New Britain Rock Cats were postponed on Thursday night due to weather in the area. This game will be made up as part of a doubleheader later on this season at Peoples Natural Gas Field in Altoona.

The Curve return home to take on the Trenton Thunder on Friday night with first pitch slated for 7 p.m. Friday night is a T.G.I. Friday's Mug Club Night. The first 250 fans 21 & over to exit the ballpark will receive a T.G.I. Friday's Mug Club Mug. An extra innings party will take place at T.G.I. Friday's following the game where a pair of Curve players will sign autographs for one hour.

The first 1,000 fans to enter the game on Friday will receive a Take it From the Tinkerson's bobblehead of Tillman thanks to the Altoona Mirror. The comic strip was created by Curve director of brand development Bill Bettwy. It is also Report Card Day on Friday. Students can show their report card at the box office and receive one free grandstand ticket to the game with the Thunder. Following the contest kids can run the bases.

RHP Casey Sadler (6-4, 3.20) will head to the mound for the series opener against Trenton at Peoples Natural Gas Field. He will be opposed by RHP Jose Ramirez (1-3, 2.76)
