NEWS AND NOTES

RUBBER MATCH: The Sea Dogs and Erie SeaWolves play the third and final game of their series tonight at Jerry Uht Park with a series win on the line. Last night, the 'Dogs evened up the series with a 7-6 comeback win. Tim Roberson had the game-winning RBI single in the seventh inning off of Confesor Lara. Mike Augliera picked up his first relief win of 2015 (third career), allowing one earned run on two hits in 2.1 innings of relief.

STRIKING FIRST: With three runs in the second inning last night, Portland has now scored first in 14 of 20 (70%) games since the All-Star Break after having scored first in just 34 of 91 games (37%) prior to the break. Portland is 8-6 when scoring first since the break (22-12 before the break).
