Tonight, the SeaWolves look for a series win as they take on the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) in the rubber game of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves held a 5-3 lead in the middle game of the series but were outscored by the Sea Dogs 4-1 the remainder of the game as they had their three-game winning streak snapped... Righty Austin Kubitza takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 21st start of the season and first against the Sea Dogs. Kubitza took a loss in his last start at New Britain on July 31. In the game, he allowed six runs on 12 hits with no walks and two strikeouts in five innings of work. Erie lost the game 6-5. Kubitza has taken losses in five of his past six starts... RHP Justin Haley takes the mound for Portland making his 22nd start of the season and first against Erie. Haley took a loss in his last start against Harrisburg on July 31. In the game, he allowed four runs, three earned, on seven hits with a walk and no strikeouts in six innings of work. Haley has put up better numbers away from Hadlock Field this season. In 10 road starts, he is 3-4 with a 3.65 ERA as opposed to a 1-8 record and 6.89 ERA in 11 home starts.
