Schlemko Assigned to San Antonio for Conditioning

(GLENDALE, ARIZONA) --- Phoenix Coyotes General Manager Don Maloney announced today that Coyotes' defenseman David Schlemko has been activated off of the club's injured reserve list and sent to San Antonio (AHL) for conditioning. Schlemko has been out of the lineup since January 17 with an upper body injury.

In 25 games with the Coyotes this season, the 6-foot-1, 195 pound native of Edmonton, Alberta has collected 0-5-5 and 18 penalty minutes. Schlemko has appeared in 124 career AHL games with the Rampage posting 12 goals and 48 assists over the course of three seasons (2007-2010).

The Coyotes also announced that defenseman Ed Jovanovski has been placed on the club's injured reserve list. Jovanovski suffered an upper body injury late in the second period of last night's 4-3 win over the Atlanta Thrashers.

In 47 games with the Coyotes this season, the 6-foot-2, 210 pound native of Windsor, Ontario has recorded 5-9-14 and 37 penalty minutes.
