Providence Bruins News Release

BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has acquired defenseman Tomas Kaberle in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs, in exchange for the Bruins own first-round pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, forward Joe Colborne, and a conditional second-round pick in 2012 (Toronto will receive the Bruins own second round pick in 2012 if the Bruins make it to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2011 or re-sign Kaberle following the end of the 2010-11 season).

Kaberle is expected to join the Bruins in Ottawa tonight (Friday, February 18) and be available for tonight's game against the Senators. He will wear jersey number 12 and his media availability before tonight's game is not confirmed at this time.

Chiarelli will to address the media in a press conference held in the West End Room of the TD Garden in Boston at 4:00 p.m. today, Friday, February 18 (media should enter through the West Premium Entrance located next to the Boston Bruins Pro Shop. The West End Room will be located on the second floor on your left as you exit the stairwell. Bruins Communications Staff will be on hand to assist). The transcript/audio of that press conference will be available on the Boston Bruins Media Website (www.bostonbruins.com/media).
