Postma Returns to Chicago

The Atlanta Thrashers have reassigned defenseman PAUL POSTMA to the Chicago Wolves.

POSTMA was recalled on Feb. 14 but did not appear in any games during his time with the Thrashers. He ranks fourth on the Wolves and second among American Hockey League defensemen with 29 assists and holds fourth on Chicago and is tied for third among league blueliners with 37 points in 56 games this season. The 21-year-old blueliner also paces the team with 150 shots on goal, which leads league defensemen.

The Red Deer, Alberta, native matched a franchise record for most goals by a rookie defenseman and finished third overall among league blueliners with 15 goals in 63 games with the Wolves during his first professional campaign last year. He also held second among team defensemen with 29 points.

The Wolves take on the Rockford IceHogs at the Rockford MetroCentre tonight at 7 p.m., before returning home to host the Texas Stars at the Allstate Arena on Saturday at 7 p.m.
