Ramon Santana came off the bench to deliver the game winning RBI's as he doubled over the head of Clinton right fielder Welington Dotel to give the Snappers the 6-4 win.
With the win the Snappers won their fourth straight game which is the longest streak of the season for the team.
Liam Hendriks picked up a no-decision as he pitched 6 1/3 strong innings as he also struck out four batters.
The Snappers jumped out to an early lead in the second as Danny Rams connected on his seven homer of the year to give the Snappers a quick 1-0 lead.
In the fourth inning the Snappers were able to score a pair to extend the lead to 3-0 and eventually got to 4-0 in the fifth when James Beresford put down a squeeze bunt to score Drew Thompson.
With the game tied in the eighth Aaron Hicks lead off the frame with a single to right center. Ozzie Lewis bunted Hicks into scoring position as Rams would be walked. Nelson Prada made the move to put right handed hitter Santana to face the lefty Brian Moran. Santana would foul off numerous pitches before connecting on a liner that sailed over the head of right fielder Welington Dotel to score Hicks and Rams for the game winning hit.
The Snappers will send Brad Tippett to the mound that is looking for his 10th win of the season. Tippett would match Bobby Lanigan with the team high if he picks up the win. Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm with gates opening at 6:00pm.
