The San Jose Barracuda (10-15-0-2) dropped their first game back from the holiday break 8-1 against the Stockton Heat (18-5-2-3)(Calgary Flames) on Friday afternoon inside the SAP Center. The game was the first leg of a #HockeyDayinSanJose doubleheader, with the Sharks hosting the Los Angeles Kings on Friday night.

PLAYER NOTES

Josef Korenar (7-9-2) took the loss for San Jose, allowing four goals on twelve shots in 31 minutes of action

Jon Gillies (7-4-3) earned the win for the Heat, stopping 25 of the 26 shots he faced

Sasha Chmelevski (4) tallied a power-play goal in the third period

Maxim Letunov tallied an assist on the lone goal, and now co-leads the team with 22 points. The assist was also Letunov's 50th career AHL point

Alan Quine (4, 5, 6) netted a hat-trick and added three assists in the win for Stockton
