Steve Lingren scored once and set up the Victoria Salmon Kings' three remaining goals as they downed the Augusta Lynx 4-3 Wednesday night in Victoria, British Columbia.

Brian Passmore opened the scoring in the game with a power play goal, pouncing on a rebound alongside Salmon Kings (16-25-3) goaltender BJ Boxma to put Augusta (17-23-3) up 1-0 from Anthony Battaglia and Sam Ftorek.

Victoria notched the next three straight goals, as Lingren scored once and set up two more for a 3-1 Salmon Kings lead midway through the second period. Augusta came back with their second power play goal of the night as Joel Stepp fed the puck in front and banked it in off a Victoria defender to make it 3-2 after 40 minutes of play.

Martin Lapointe scored with 5:27 remaining in the third period to tie the game at 3-3 thanks to help from Ftorek and Passmore, but the Salmon Kings responded just 1:28 later to take the lead for the final time. Lingren set up Adam Huxley's first goal of the year for the game winner at 16:01.

Augusta finished the game 2-for-5 on the power play, while Victoria ended the night 1-for-4. Wolfe made 30 saves in the loss for Augusta while Boxma earned the win with 20 stops.

The Lynx and Salmon Kings will battle once again Friday and Saturday night at 10:05 pm, with the Classic Stucco and Stone Pre-Game Show kicking off one half-hour before game time on your Home for Lynx Hockey, NEWSTALKSPORTS 1630.
