
Ice Pilots Make Transactions

Pensacola Ice Pilots News Release
Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that defenseman Nate Metcalf has been acquired from the Bakersfield Condors for forward Brian Collins and future considerations. The Ice Pilots also traded defenseman Rod Aldoff to Dayton for future considerations and defenseman David Turon and defenseman Steven Later have been reassigned from the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.
Metcalf, who stands 6'4" and weighs 205 pounds, played in 36 games with Bakersfield this season scoring 3 goals, 7 assists for 10 points picking up 50 penalty minutes. He played in 60 games for Wichita of the CHL last year scoring 8 goals, 27 assists for 35 points picking up 99 points.
Metcalf played his college hockey at Minnesota State University-Mankato and also has played for Fargo-Moorhead in the USHL. He is 25 years old from East Grand Forks, Minnesota and shoots left.
Turon has played in four games with the Toronto Marlies this season picking up one assist and four penalty minutes and has played in 33 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring 3 goals, 8 assists for 11 points picking up 26 penalty minutes.
Later has played in three games with the Toronto Marlies this season picking up one assist and has played in 26 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring 5 goals, 11 assists for 16 points picking up 104 penalty minutes.
Collins has played in 38 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring 8 goals, 10 assists for 18 points picking up 25 penalty minutes and Aldoff has played in 41 games for the Ice Pilots picking up 8 assists and 48 penalty minutes.
The Ice Pilots will host the Phoenix RoadRunners tomorrow and Friday night at the Pensacola Civic Center at 7:05 p.m. Baptist Health Care will sponsor an intermission during the game on Friday. The Ice Pilots will also recognize the "Voice of the Ice Pilots " Paul Chestnutt during the first intermission who will be broadc asting his last Ice Pilots game.
