TRENTON, NJ (February 1, 2006) - The Trenton Titans announced on Wednesday that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Michael Acosta.
The addition of Acosta, 30, will provide relief to a depleted Titans defense corps. A former teammate of Trenton left wing Scott Bertoli at Princeton University, Acosta totaled 46 points (8g, 38a) and 137 penalty minutes over 111 games during a four-year career (1995-99) with the Tigers.
The native of Toms River, NJ made his ECHL debut this season appearing in two games with the Reading Royals.

The Trenton Titans are a member of the ECHL - North America's Premier "AA" Hockey League. The Trenton Titans are the ECHL affiliate to the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Phantoms and the New York Islanders and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
