In Game 2, the Rumble Ponies scored three runs each in the fifth and sixth innings to pull even at 7-7. In Game 2, right-hander Eric Mock tied his career high with seven strikeouts in 3 2/3 innings in his first professional start and Double-A debut. Left-hander Andrew Misiaszek, also making his Double-A debut, yielded four runs on four hits in 1 1/3 innings, and left-hander Skylar Árias allowed two runs on three hits in the sixth. Wisely stranded the bases loaded in the sixth before the decisive seventh.
