FISHER CATS FORCE RUBBER GAME: New Hampshire's nine-run outburst on Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium aided them in a 9-4 win over Binghamton. Binghamton and New Hampshire play a decisive series finale for the second time in a week.
BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Nabil Crismatt makes his fourth start of the season and first against New Hampshire. After facing Portland twice to begin the season, the Colombia native tossed six scoreless innings in a win against Erie on April 20. Crismatt has tossed 12 innings at NYSEG Stadium without allowing an earned run.
CATCHING FIRE: Rumble Ponies Catcher Patrick Mazeika finished 1-for-4 on Tuesday night, extending his hitting streak to a Rumble Ponies-best six games. He's 10-for-25 with 2 HR and 5 RBI over the stretch. Jeff McNeil and Levi Michael currently ride five-game hitting streaks.
GATOR HUNTING: 1B Peter Alonso collected two hits in Tuesday's loss for his team-leading sixth multi-hit game of the season. After going hitless in his first two at bats against Jordan Romano, Alonso picked up singles off of fellow University of Florida alum's Danny Young and Justin Shafer.
TOUGH-OUT TEBOW: OF Tim Tebow reached base in all four plate appearances on Tuesday.
FIELDING FOLLIES: Binghamton has committed an error in seven straight games, and a league-worst 19 blunders this season. The 2017 Binghamton Rumble Ponies, who finished first in Eastern League fielding percentage and errors committed, never had an error streak longer than five games.
LOSING BIG: Tuesday's five-run loss was Binghamton's largest margin of defeat this season. The nine runs scored by New Hampshire is also the most allowed in any game by Binghamton in 2018.
MICHAEL MASHING: INF Levi Michael has picked up one hit in each of the last five games. The first-year Rumble Pony has 3 HR and 5 RBI during the five-game stretch. He hit 7 HR during the 2017 season with Chattanooga (MIN:AA) & Rochester (MIN:AAA)
THE ROAD AHEAD: Binghamton embarks on a six-game road trip starting Friday at Erie. After a three-game series with the SeaWolves, Binghamton immediately heads to Akron for a trio with the RubberDucks. The Rumble Ponies return to NYSEG Stadium to meet the Fisher Cats again on May 3 at 6:35 PM.
UP NEXT: After an off-day on Thursday, the Rumble Ponies begin a six-game road trip on Friday night in Erie. RHP Mickey Jannis takes the mound against RHP Spencer Turnbull. First pitch at UPMC Park is scheduled for 6:05 PM.
