PONIES LOOK TO BUILD OFF SERIES FINALE WIN: Binghamton welcomes in the Altoona Curve for the first time this season, in search of back-to-back wins after edging Trenton, 6-0, Sunday afternoon. Justin Dunn tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just two hits in his Double-A debut.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Joseph Shaw makes his 12th start of the season after picking up his first Double-A win on June 6 at Harrisburg. The 6-foot-5 Texan did not allow a run in his 5.2 innings, striking out six and walking two. Shaw has lasted at least five innings in five straight starts and eight of his last nine.

WELCOME HOME: Binghamton finished their weeklong road trip to Harrisburg and Trenton 3-3. After winning two of three against the Senators, the Rumble Ponies dropped two of three to the Thunder.

CURVE YOUR ENTHUSIASM: Last season Binghamton and Altoona split their six-game regular season series 3-3. The Rumble Ponies took two of three at NYSEG Stadium, scoring 24 runs.

HIS NAME JEFF: Jeff McNeil finished 3-for-5 in Sunday's win, giving him 15 hits in his last 37 at bats (.405). The second baseman has 2 HR and 9 RBI over the 10-day stretch and now ranks 3rd in the Eastern League in batting (.333). He's also leads the league in extra-base hits (33) and ranks 2nd in home runs (14).

THE IRON HORSE: Peter Alonso has appeared in all 62 Rumble Ponies games this season to lead the Eastern League. The league leader in home runs (15) is 9th in batting (.310), 2nd in RBI (50), and tied for 1st in walks (43)

FROM THE GRIDIRON TO THE DIAMOND: Rumble Ponies OF Tim Tebow and Curve OF Tyler Gaffney both enjoyed collegiate and professional football careers before pursuing solely baseball. Gaffney won Super Bowl's XLIX & LI with the New England Patriots, while Tebow won the 2007 Heisman Trophy before a five-year NFL career.

DEFENDING CHAMPIONS: The 2017 Altoona Curve completed a perfect 6-0 run in the Eastern League Playoffs to win the Championship. After sweeping Bowie in the Division Series, the Curve took all three against the Thunder in the Championship Series.

SCOUTING ALTOONA: The Curve enter the Southern Tier winners in three of their last four games. After falling to Hartford, 6-1, on Saturday, the Curve and Yard Goats were postponed on Sunday. OF Jason Martin paces the Curve offense, hitting .330 with 8 HR and 29 RBI.

UP NEXT: Binghamton and Altoona continue their three-game series on Wednesday evening. RHP Scott Copeland tosses for the Rumble Ponies against Curve RHP Mitch Keller. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM at NYSEG Stadium.
